"I love all our guest stars, of course; I think they’re amazing. But my favorite scenes – like my favorite time I can remember from The 100 – is still things from Season 1, because we were all together, just outside, camping. It was just so fun discovering this world and making this world together, and I love working with everybody. I think they’re so talented and we have so many memories and fun together. And this episode was a brutal shoot. It was five night shoots in a row. I was just doing the most exhaustive stuff, physically, and then emotionally and intellectually as far as dialogue in the script. So I was wrecked. But the silver lining was that I had all my friends there. […] I think, at the end of the day, that’s the essence of The 100: “Save your friends first.” [Laughs] “Leave no friend behind!” And as you saw also, you can understand what Octavia’s going through and I think Monty said it best. Octavia feels like she’s a woman without a country. She no longer has Lincoln. She doesn’t feel part of Trikru. She doesn’t feel part of Skaikru. She doesn’t feel like she’s a Blake, and Monty tells her like, “No, but you’re part of The 100, and that’s your family.” And that’s a thing like Raven went through too. So I think you get to see in this episode, it’s The 100. It’s The 100 again."
